Evan Dhorne

Once Evan was an ordinary human before he was transformed against his will into a half-demonic being. His transformation deeply wounded him and tore his soul apart, leaving him driven by pain and a burning thirst for revenge.

Although his new form gives him amazing abilities and powers, he is plagued by an irrepressible yearning for retribution against those responsible for his terrible torment. His anger is matched by a deep sadness, knowing that he will never be the man he once was, even if he were to find a way to break the curse.

As he travels through the darkest corners of the world, he hunts his enemies and makes plans for his retribution. But he soon realizes that his powers also have a dark side, and he must constantly fight the control of the demons within him.

Despite these challenges, Evan does not give up and fights on unflinchingly. He knows that he will eventually get his revenge, but he also wonders if he will ever find peace in taking revenge on those responsible for his suffering. Leuven

Leuven is a young man with a mysterious past. He has decided to spend his life as a traveling merchant and seek adventure. Unfortunately, he is often very clumsy and shy, which sometimes causes him difficulties.

When he meets Evan Dhorne, he is impressed by his courage and abilities. After Evan saves his life, Leuven reluctantly decides to accompany the half-demon on his journey. Although he is initially unsure of how he can be useful, he turns out to be an extremely talented cook and decides to put his skills to use for the group.

Leuven is an upright and righteous person who always treats his fellow man fairly. Despite his shyness and clumsiness, he is a valuable addition to Evan’s team, and he is always ready to stand up for his friends and help them when they are in need.

Sarra

Sarra, a young Eldári, unexpectedly crosses paths with Evan and Leuven in Rabensberg. She is well aware of the half-demon’s plan and tries to warn him.

Like Evan, she is also searching for a certain Rowan, a dark shadow from her past who has joined a dangerous group of Eldári. This group is plotting rebellion against humans, and Sarra seems to have her own hidden motives.

Sarra allies herself with Evan to search for Rowan together. However, their collaboration is not without risk, as they must defend themselves against Rowan’s sinister followers while trying to unravel the mystery behind his motivations. Amidst intrigue and betrayal, Sarra becomes Evan’s unexpected companion.

Hector Heidenreich

Hector Heidenreich, Captain of the City Guard of Rabensberg, the bustling capital of Brünnen, is a pillar of order and loyalty in a world full of intrigue and unrest.

Even before the reign of King Regrat III., he served his father in the same position, emphasizing his deep allegiance to the royal line.

As a man of unwavering loyalty, Heidenreich places the word of the king above all else, even if he wrestles internally with some orders. His steadfastness makes him a respected, if feared, figure among his subordinates.

In his standardized City Guard armor, devoid of any hint of splendor or arrogance, Heidenreich shows that he does not elevate himself above his comrades. Yet he is a man of strong duty, expecting the same from his City Guard. His leadership is strict but fair, and he demands the best from each of his subordinates.

Vaklav Riszko

Vaklav Riszko is an underground boss who is mainly active in Brunen.

It is not known how Riszko came to his position. However, his name carries great weight in the Brunen underground. He accepts orders that go against the laws of the kingdom and passes them on to his mercenaries accordingly. He has a network of spies, contract killers and thugs. Some of the most wanted people in the kingdom work with him.

Evan also carries out jobs for Riszko from time to time. In exchange, he is not only paid with money, but also receives information about Rowan, the person Evan is looking for.

Discretion is extremely important to Vaklav Riszko. He never stays in one place for long and always uses his network to go underground. If you want to get a job from him, you have to know your way around the Brunen underground.

Marie de Boer

Marie de Boer is a young woman from the kingdom of Brunen who possesses clairvoyant abilities.
She had her first visions as a child, with which she wanted to help the people in her home village. However, not all the inhabitants were enthusiastic about her abilities and so she and her mother had no choice but to flee from place to place.

As an adult, she used her abilities and travelled the country as a seer to earn a living. In doing so, she helps both the poor population and the nobility.

She meets Evan and Leuven at Harren Castle. She had already foreseen the arrival of the half-demon in a vision. Together, the three of them investigate the haunting at Harren Castle, which is haunting the lord and all the other inhabitants.
